Well, prostitution. Now there's a word sure to make any guy happy - or at least interested. I must ask only this: why make it illegal? If there are women who wish to make their living this way and are willing to accept the consequences and risks therein, why prevent them? There is definitely a demand for this product so it does follow the supply-and-demand rule of business.

But, surely, there are those women who would come forward to say that such an occupation is degrading to all women. But - and I really hate to mention it - prostitutes can't exactly hate their jobs. Let's face it, sex isn't exactly a disagreeable thing - and being paid for this relatively agreeable thing could make it more appealing to those women more money-oriented than pleasure-oriented. (In my little opinion most people in today's society are either money-oriented or pleasure-oriented.) In fact, sex was really quite grand last time I knew, even in this anal-retentive republic.

But, still, "It's degrading," they say. Dearies, get a grip. It's degrading? Not a chance! If a woman looks good enough - and this isn't hard being as all women are beautiful to someone - and is skilled enough to be paid for sex, more power to her! It must be an incredible ego boost to know that you can turn down men and there will be more nearly instantly. If prostitution was a legal and recognized institution it could be regulated - std's could be monitored, the raping of prostitutes would vanish almost immediately, pregnancies could be controlled, as well. No more would it be the back alley, dark, immoral act that it is today. I hardly think it's immoral at all, but I'm weird and we've already established that. Women should be paid in some way for sex - emotionally, monetarily, at least paint the freaking house you sweaty beast!!! Ahem, whoa... 'scuse me. It can be great for us, but, dammit, if men need it so badly I want money to go out and buy new clothes!!!

I do not see the problem. Someone PLEASE explain it to me.

But of course, I must admit here that I quite enjoy sex as long as it is within the bounds of love. My definition of the bounds of love, you ask? Sex is an act of love or an act of desperation. Wanna treat it like an act of love? Great!!! Make sure you perform it in THE institute of love then - marriage. Wanna treat it like an act of desperation? Come up with a bill to legalize prostitution and be prepared to face the guilt you'll feel.

Breathe in, breathe out, move on.
