I work fast food and I agree, they only promote and hire itiots ( I acted dumb. Hey, I needed a part-time
job) who are incapable of (horror upon horror) thinking for themselves. It is a deliberate choice. Corporate office asks the
questions: Does this person follow rules to the letter even when it would be more prudent to do something else? Is this person
unable to think for him/herself? Does this person have an IQ below 85? If the answer to all these questions is yes he or she
will be promoted to management.
HOWEVER, some of the customers seem so-oo stupid I wonder how they acquired a drivers liscence. " I'd
like ta biggie size muh o'deh if-n thah ain't tuh much tuh ask of yuh" Or " I'll take some egg rolls and a whopper and some
onion rings, uh cud yuh jumbo size muh onion rings?" I have to restrain myself obviously they cannot read or hear the part
of the greeting that said "Welcome to Mc Donalds ....." or they would not ask for jumbo or biggie sizing ( go to Wendys or
Jack in the Box). After having worked for McDonalds I would undoubtedly support the institutionalization of requiring a permit
to reproduce. These people are to stupid for words.

I work part time in a fast food restaurant so I can pay off my college, and lately I have been feeling
so much stress because some customers don't appreciate our work. I mean nobody is perfect and some customers expect us to
be. Even when I smile and greet them, they give this look like they don't even want to have a conversation with a fast food
worker.

Yanno, this response makes me think of some study that was recently released which stated that Americans
are not only rude - we're getting more rude than we've ever been. This fast food working college student (or grad) made me
stop and think maybe that study was right. Formerly, I had thought that people were simply getting a little more whiny and
a little less tolerant. Here's to ya, ??
I would have to agree with the college student. I think we should all lighten up a little bit, it is
just 5 minutes out of our day, plus it is fast food, and if it isn't to our liking, we should just make the ourselves something
to eat at home. My husband is one of those people that has to complain about everything. I have to correct his behavior all
of the time. I have alot of experience dealing with hard headed customers, I am a waitress. So I know what it's like when
the cook doesn't prepare the food exactly the way the customer asks. Hey, it's not my fault your eggs are over easy instead
of over medium! Okay, I better stop now, or I won't want to go to work in the morning! LOL
